We went to Balboa Island today. We took an auto ferry back to the main land.
We are on the auto ferry taking a picture of another one to show what we were riding on in our car.
Then we rent an electric boat and toured the Newport Bay. There were million dollar house all along the water with boats docked up at the houses. There were even small islands in the bay that also had houses on them. The only way to those houses were small walking bridges or by boat. They were awesome.
Back at the campground for some more fun!

How Fun! I've always wanted to go to Balboa Island. It seems like it'd be one of those places that's cool to see and take fun pictures at but then all the little rides and games would add way up. Is that what it's like? Okay, I can not tell you how happy I am to know that campgrounds have wireless internet. I love it!!!!
Balboa Island itself is mostly houses and shops. The amusement type stuff is on the Balboa peninsula across from the island. Our boat ride kept our kids busy from the rides and arcades. We had a great lunch there too. I want to go back to the island to look in all the shops. Not a lot of parking on the island. And yes, wireless internet rocks!!!
