We went to dinner with the Priske family tonight after Casey's baseball game. We had a great time!
The kids were so good even though they were total clowns!

Kari and I attended the Placerita Jr. High Dance Show tonight. The students did a fantastic job. I am so proud of all of my students.

Kari had a great game tonight!!! She had two solid hits to right field and one of them was a stand up double that drove in 3 runs!! She got the game ball tonight.

Well, I actually had a Saturday off with no games to attend for my own kids. So what do I do? I watch 3 basketballs games today at the All-City junior high school basketball tournament. I went to support my students who were playing. Here are two pictures from today's event. The girls' games were indoors and very few of my pictures turned out. The kids did great...I am so proud of them!

Tonight, Corey was recognized by the Santa Clarita Valley PTA council for his photo for the PTA sponsored "Reflections" program. He had the winning photo for his age group from his school. From there, his photo went to compete in the SCV PTA competition. He did not win but he did get rewarded tonight for his photo. All the way home tonight he told me that he wanted to be a famous photographer. His Auntie should be so proud!

Tonight we hosted the varsity baseball team for dinner. We fed about 25 players and coaches, played video games, played foozball, and played the drums. I am sure our neighbors love us!

Kari's Grandpa knows Rob Blake's father-in-law. Rob Blake is a defenseman for the LA Kings. Grandpa got an autographed picture and puck for Kari. She is so thrilled!

This was the strangest day. As the kids and I had lunch today at Carl's Jr, a flock of seagulls (about 100) flew into town and circled the shopping center where we were eating. Then we had an arctic storm come through about 1/2 hour later and it left a light dusting of snow on a local mountain top.

Here is Corey's latest thing...a Venus Flytrap. A teacher had one at school yesterday and he learned all about it. He was so excited to get his very own.

Jari goes through phases of where she likes to hang out and sleep. Her latest place is Corey's chair at the table. He constantly pulls out his chair to find a kitty. She will get sick of this place and move on soon.

Meet our pet lizard. He lives on our front porch and meets us there every day as we come and go. We had another lizard do the same thing but Casey decided to take him to work one day. You see, Casey leaves his dirty shoes on the front porch and one day Casey grab a pair of baseball shoes off the porch and took them to work. When he put them on, one of them seemed a little bit tight so he took it off to see what was the matter and the lizard jumped out. Casey never found him again. I hope the new lizard stays out of Casey's shoes or Casey checks them before he leaves for work.
