Well, we have moved on from play guns to BB guns. Casey bought a BB gun for Corey similar to the one he had when he was younger. Corey has very good aim and has been destroying plastic bottles and aluminum cans in the backyard. Next time we are in Michigan, Corey will be ready to hunt with big cousin Eric.

The kids took care of the dog and cat of our friends this weekend while they were away. Daisy the dog was very shy and would not come downstairs to visit or play with us. This is all we saw of Daisy for 3 days...a view of her from an upstairs window.
Our friends' plane flight was cancelled and they had to reschedule to a later flight tonight. Early today we went over for what we thought was our final visit to the house and locked the front door key inside for the owner. Since they are coming home later we needed to get back into the house to feed Daisy. We had to send Corey in the doggy door. Good thing he fit!

Kari has been bugging me for her own cell phone. I said no, not until she was in junior high school. Today, Casey had to get a new phone for himself and of course she was all over the store checking out the phones. She begged and begged but I said no. Kari said that she had enough money to buy one herself. I told her to just wait the 2 1/2 months until she entered junior high and I would pay for it. She said if she had enough money to buy a phone and the monthly charges until August could she get one. I told her if that is how she wanted to spend her money then she could get one. Well, she couldn't wait that 2 1/2 months and bought herself a cell phone. Not sure who she is going to call!!!

Here is my padfolio from my first year of BTSA (Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment). It is full of lesson plans, observations and evaluations of student work, and all sorts of "events" that I have completed with my BTSA advisor. I have been working on it all year and turned it in to the BTSA panel for final approval. I have officially completed my first of two years in BTSA!! Yippee!!

Jari is getting old and the last several months she stopped taking care of herself. She was so matted and felt yucky to the touch. She used to be such a beautiful kitty with long black fluffy hair. We decided to get her cleaned up today. Here is her before picture...
And here is her after picture...she was so matted that the only option was to shave her. Poor Jari!

Movie night at the Burrill house...Casey set up a movie theater outside tonight for the kids to watch a movie with some friends. Tonight's feature is Transformers. The kids think it is so cool...and so does the "big kid."

See the green thing that Luc is standing on...it is one side of a pillow that Corky made Kari. Every night Kari puts it in the corner of her bed and Luc comes over and kneeds on it. He absolutely loves it and thinks that it is his pillow.
